AGEP employs strategy of supporting alliances of doctoralgranting institutions to accomplish these goals. The alliances, in turn, employ creative administrative strategies, develop infrastructure, and engage in substantive partnerships with nondoctoralgranting institutions many minorityserving institutions to enhance recruitment, retention, and advancement.
